COOKIE POLICY
What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that is stored by the computer when a website is visited by a user. The text stores information that the site is able to read when it is consulted at a later time. Some of these cookies are necessary for the proper functioning of the site, others are useful to the visitor because they can store in a secure way, for example the user name or language settings.
The advantage of having cookies installed on your PC is that you no longer need to fill in the same information every time you want to access a previously visited site.
Cookies can be of various types, depending on the type of data they store and how long they remain stored on the user’s device.
Technical cookies are generally necessary for the website to function properly and to allow navigation; without them the navigator may not be able to display the pages correctly or to use some services. For example, a technical cookie is essential to keep the user connected throughout the visit to a website, or to memorize the settings of the language, display, and so on.
Technical cookies can be further divided into:
-
navigation or session cookies, which guarantee normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or authenticate to access restricted areas);
-
analytics cookies, similar to technical cookies when used directly by the site manager to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site;
-
functionality cookies, which allow the user to browse according to a series of selected criteria (for example, the language, the products selected for purchase in order to improve the service provided).
Profiling cookies, on the other hand, are used to analyze the interests and browsing habits of individual users, to personalize their browsing and deliver, for example, content, including advertising, targeted to the user according to their personal interests. The wydex.it site does not use profiling cookies. Finally, it should be noted that some of the purposes for which cookies are used may require the User’s consent.
Why does the wydex.it site use cookies?
